おしむはいかなる事ぞ。命と財（ザイ）と
いづれか貴（タツトキ）ものなるぞとなり
○みづからの働（ハタラキ）にて富（フ）-饒（ニヤウ）になりた
るものを見るに富（トム）にしたがふて
かならず吝（シハク）。身（ミ）をかろくし一
生（シヤウ）の中に財（ザイ）をつかふ事ならぬ
ものありたとえば妻（ツマ）子など大
病におよべども財（サイ）をつかふ事

なく死して後（ノチ）-悔（クユ）れどもせんな
きそ。又 数万（スマン）の富（トミ）にても猶（ナヲ）足（タラ）-ず
とし常に利（リ）-倍（バイ）に心（シン）-魂（コン）をなやま
し。市（シ）-中（チウ）を走（ハシ）り一日もたのしむ
事なく金-銀の殖（フユ）る事あれば
干里もちかしとして雨（ウ）-雪（セツ）を浸（オカ）
して寒湿（カンシツ）に傷（ヤブ）られて死する
は。命（イノチ）をかろくして財（ザイ）を重（オモ）しと

惜しむとはどのようなことか。命と財産と
どちらが貴いものであるかということである。
○自らの働きによって裕福になった
者を見ると、富むにしたがって
必ず物惜しみする。身を軽んじて一
生の間に財産を使うことができない

病になってもお金を使うことが

ないとして常に利益倍増に心魂を悩ま
し、市中を駆け回って一日も楽しむ
ことなく、金銀が増えることがあれば

Also, even with wealth of tens of thousands, they still consider it insufficient and constantly torment their hearts and souls with doubling profits, rushing around the marketplace without enjoying a single day. When there is an opportunity to increase gold and silver, they consider even a thousand ri as close distance, braving rain and snow, being injured by cold and dampness and dying - this is making light of life and considering wealth important.
