現代語訳
夏の涼み船からの思いつきで、冬暖まり籠というものを作った。日暮らしの辺りを「暖まりせよ」と担いで行く。もっとも夜は寒いので、昼の暖かなうちの商売である。
団扇が使いにくいぞ。
「♪田楽、酒、シラミの糸は要御座りますか」
鼻水天狗は「ちと汚いの、鼻水ではない、鼻血のようだ」
うろうろ籠を持って歩く。
「いやー、お冷やり、氷冷やり」
「花水か、花水か」と引き売りする。
素方を煎じた水にて花水というものを突き出す。何も面白きことはないものである。
英語訳
From the idea of summer cooling boats, they created something called "winter warming baskets." They would carry them around the Higurashi area calling "Come warm yourselves!" Most importantly, since nights were cold, this was a business for the warm daytime hours.
"The fan is hard to use!"
"♪Dengaku, sake, would you like lice thread?"
The runny-nosed tengu said, "That's a bit dirty - it's not nasal discharge, it looks like a nosebleed."
Walking around aimlessly carrying baskets.
"Hey! Cold water, iced cold water!"
"Flower water! Flower water!" they call out as street vendors.
They put out what they call "flower water" made from boiled herbs. Nothing particularly interesting about it.
