現代語訳

【聖廟】春と秋に二回祭祀を行う。康熙五十八年正月、紫金大夫程順則が啓請した。孔子を祭るには大牢を用い、啓聖公を祭るには少牢を用いる。その爵・帛・粢盛・籩豆の数は、図を具えてこれを載せる。その祭品で本国に無い物は、皆土産をもってこれに代える。祭期の前三日、祭祀に与る者は皆斎戒する。前一日に礼を演習し、牲を省る。丁の日に王は紫金大夫を遣わし、丑の時に啓聖の祠を祭る。法司官を遣わし、寅の時に聖廟を祭る。皆三跪九叩首、飲福受胙の礼を行う。この年二月に始めてこの礼を行った。これ以前は、紫金大夫或いは長史官を主祭とし、八拝の礼を行い、飲福受胙の礼は行わなかった。ただ楮を焚いて帛は用いず、また斎戒や省牲もなかった。礼が簡素すぎるようであったので、故に今の礼を啓請して儀の如くした。

[Sacred Temple] Sacrificial ceremonies are held twice a year, in spring and autumn. In the first month of the 58th year of Kangxi, Purple-Gold Minister Tei Junnoku submitted a petition. For sacrifices to Confucius, the great offering (ox, sheep, and pig) is used; for sacrifices to Qisheng-gong, the lesser offering (sheep and pig) is used. The number of ritual vessels - goblets, silk, grain offerings, and ceremonial dishes - are illustrated in the accompanying diagram. For ritual items not available in this country, local products are substituted. Three days before the ceremony, all participants observe purification and abstinence. One day before, they rehearse the rituals and inspect the sacrificial animals. On the designated day, the king sends the Purple-Gold Minister to sacrifice at the shrine of Qisheng at the hour of the Ox (1-3 AM). He sends the Legal Affairs Official to sacrifice at the Sacred Temple at the hour of the Tiger (3-5 AM). All perform the ritual of three kneelings and nine prostrations, and the ceremony of drinking blessed wine and receiving sacred meat. This ritual was first performed in the second month of that year. Prior to this, Purple-Gold Ministers or Chief Secretary Officials served as chief celebrants, performing the eight-bow ceremony without the drinking of blessed wine and receiving of sacred meat. They only burned paper money without using silk, and there was no purification, abstinence, or inspection of animals. The rituals seemed too simplified, so they petitioned for the current ceremonies to be conducted according to proper form.
