現代語訳

栄の人は、幼少から成人に至るまで、俸給を賜って養育され、師を立てて子を教えてもらい、深く国恩を蒙っている。さらに当然その功を倍加すべきであり、上は教養の恩に負かず、これに恥じることがないようにすべきである。蔡文溥は康熙二十五年の入太学読書生の一人である。故にその言葉に次第があること、このようである。 官生が国学に入って読書すること 本朝康熙二十三年、使臣汪楫・林麟焻が代わって「遠人が化に向かい、子弟を遣わして入学させ書を読ませることを求める」と題した。二十五年、尚貞王は官生梁成楫・蔡文溥・阮維新を遣わして国学に入れて書を読ませた。二十七年九月に監に入る。 上は特に教習一人を設けられた。福建の鄭某が一年教習し、寧波の貢生■振が三年教習した。徐振議教以□同即用官生三人、皆都通事の例に照らして、日に鶏一羽、肉二斤、茶五銭、豆腐一斤を給し、胡椒・醤油・菜等も全て備える。毎年春秋には綿緞の袍掛、紡糸紬の褲各一、涼帽一、靴襪各一双を賜る。夏は紗の袍掛、羅の衫褲各一を賜る。冬は緞面羊皮の袍掛、綿襪褲各一、皮帽皮靴、絨襪被褥も全て備える。従人も皆賜物がある。毎月□□□筆銀一両五銭、皆鴻臚寺が関給する。二十九年、貢使耳目官温允傑、正議大夫金元達が京に到着した。国王は官生を遣わして国に帰らせることを請い、宴を賜り、各々に雲緞・紬布等の物を給賞し、伝に乗せて帰らせた。

The people of Tang glory, from childhood through adulthood, receive stipends for their upbringing, have teachers appointed to educate their children, and deeply receive the nation's benevolence. They should further double their efforts, not failing the grace of education and cultivation from above, thus having nothing to be ashamed of. Sai Bunpo was one of the students who entered the Imperial Academy in the 25th year of Kangxi. Therefore, his words have such logical sequence. Official Students Entering the National Academy to Study In the 23rd year of Kangxi of this dynasty, envoys Wang Ji and Lin Linzhuo petitioned on behalf of "distant peoples turning toward civilization, seeking to send their children to enter schools and study books." In the 25th year, King Sho-Tei sent official students Ryo Seikyu, Sai Bunpo, and Gen Ishin to enter the National Academy to study. In the 9th month of the 27th year, they entered the Imperial Academy. The Emperor specially established one instructor position. A certain Zheng from Fujian served as instructor for one year, and Gong-sheng ■Zhen from Ningbo served as instructor for three years. The three official students were all treated according to the precedent for interpreters (dutongshi), receiving daily one chicken, two jin of meat, five qian of tea, and one jin of tofu. Pepper, soy sauce, vegetables, etc. were all provided. Every spring and autumn, they were granted cotton and silk robes, spun silk trousers (one each), summer hats (one), shoes and socks (one pair each). In summer, they received gauze robes and gauze shirts and trousers (one each). In winter, they received satin-faced sheepskin robes, cotton socks and trousers (one each), leather hats and shoes, wool socks, bedding and mattresses—all were provided. The attendants also all received gifts. Monthly [...] writing silver one tael and five qian, all provided through the Court of Imperial Entertainment. In the 29th year, tribute envoy and intelligence officer On Inketsu and Senior Advisor Kin Gentatsu arrived in the capital. The king requested to send the official students back to their country. They were granted a banquet, each given rewards of cloud brocade, silk cloth and other items, and sent home by official transport.
