一 御他家様ゟ御家来御門江被参御客
様御請被成候哉如同御座候哉と問合セ
有之候節者何様ニ御座候か先様之

現代語訳
一 他家様からの家来が門に参り、お客様をお受けになっているかどうかと問い合わせがあった際は、どのような件でしょうか、先方のお名前を承り控えていただくようにと申し置いて、その旨を広間に申し上げ、その指示を受けて先方への問い合わせの者に回答すべきこと。
一 孝吉様、於五百様、於貞様といった方々が玄関前をご通行の際は、下座板にて下座をすべきこと。外出の際も同様。その他、追々お生まれになるお子様方に対しても同様とする。
一 若殿様がお乗り出しになる際は、殿様のご通行と同様に土下座をし、門を開くこと。
一 隠居様が下屋敷からお忍びで門の潜り戸からお乗り込みになる際も、下座板にて下座をすべきこと。
一 玄関前の白洲の内で、言い争いや転倒などを通してはならない。
一 門外からも転倒などの行為をしてはならない。
ただし、担いで入ることは構わない。
一 門の障子紙、行燈紙、中の口行燈紙については広間に申し立てること。
一 門の諸品、様々な物の修繕ならびに取り替えなどの品については、役詰めの者から覚書を広間番頭に申し立てるべきこと。
英語訳
- When retainers from other domains come to the gate inquiring whether guests are being received, respond by saying "What kind of matter might this be? Please allow us to record the name of your party," then report this matter to the hirooma (reception hall) and answer the inquiring party according to those instructions.
- When Kōkichi-sama, Oiho-sama, Osada-sama and such personages pass in front of the main entrance, one should perform gezaita (seated bow on a lower platform). The same applies when they go out. This also applies to any children who may be born in the future.
- When the young lord departs by palanquin, one should perform dogeza (prostration) and open the gate, just as when our lord passes through.
- Even when the retired lord boards secretly through the gate's side entrance from the lower residence, one should perform gezaita (seated bow on a lower platform).
- Within the shirazuka (white sand area) in front of the main entrance, arguments or tumbling should not be allowed to pass through.
- Tumbling and such actions should not be performed from outside the gate either.
However, carrying things in is acceptable.
- Regarding gate shoji paper, lantern paper, and inner entrance lantern paper, these matters should be reported to the hirooma.
- Regarding various gate items, repairs of sundry objects, and replacement items, the duty personnel should submit written reports to the hirooma chief attendant.
