一 門の下番は毎朝、玄関前の白洲から門外までの通りならびに中の口前の通りまで掃除をすること。
中の口行燈は毎夜油を継ぎ、掃除等をこれもまた下番で行うこと。油は組部屋小頭から渡されること。
弘化三丙午年九月晦日
一 毎年十月一日から三月中まで、表御門の地板拭きならびに番所に雑巾掛けをする湯は、厩から手桶一つずつもらうこと。
ただし、物頭月番の岡村又兵衛様に申し上げ、口上をもって厩取掃方の伊藤金太夫殿へ、例年通り厩部屋頭に間違いなく指示をしていただくようお頼み申し上げること。
一 門当番交代の際は、番所裏の下練の方から往来出入りをすること。
覚
一 門の出入りについては厳しく改めるべきこと。
一 外部から参り、門を出る者については、その先々の家から送り札を受け取った上で通すこと。
一 他所から参る奉札使についても同様に、その使いを受ける方から送り札を差し出し、受け取り次第通すこと。
ただし、寺社奉行、町奉行、勘定奉行、その外老中、若年寄の使いは足軽でも送り札がなくても通すこと。
公儀御家人の分についても同様。
他家から参る者でも侍分ならびに寺院出入りの町人等、すべて供を召し連れて参る分については、その人の行き先を失礼のないよう承るだけでよい。

- The gate's lower-ranking guard shall perform cleaning every morning from the shirazuka (white sand area) in front of the main entrance through the area outside the gate, as well as the pathway in front of the inner entrance.
The inner entrance lantern shall also have its oil replenished and be cleaned nightly by the lower-ranking guard. Oil shall be provided by the squad room petty officer.

- Every year from October 1st through March, hot water for wiping the floor boards of the main gate and for mopping the guard station shall be obtained one bucket at a time from the stables.
However, this should be reported to Monthly Duty Officer Okamura Matahei-sama, and through oral report to Stable Cleaning Officer Itō Kintadayū-dono, requesting that instructions be properly given to the stable room chief as is customary each year.
- When changing gate duty shifts, personnel should come and go through the lower practice area behind the guard station.

- Regarding gate entry and exit, strict inspections shall be conducted.
- For those coming from outside and exiting through the gate, they may pass only after receiving escort passes from their respective households.
- For official messengers coming from other places, the same applies - they may pass only after escort passes are presented by those receiving the messengers and the passes are accepted.
However, messengers from the Temples and Shrines Magistrate, Town Magistrate, Finance Magistrate, and other Senior Councilors and Junior Councilors may pass even if they are ashigaru (foot soldiers) without escort passes.
The same applies to bakufu direct retainers.
For those coming from other domains, including samurai and townspeople who conduct business with temples, all those who come with attendants need only have their destinations confirmed politely.
