現代語訳
一、右が終わって、四品以上の面々が着座より直ちに御前へ出て御目見えし、老中が御挨拶を終えて退去した。御簾を垂らした中奥で御小性役がこの時仕切りの衝立を後の間へ御同朋が引いた。その後御簾を上げ、下段の御敷居際にいた万石以上の面々その他一同の御目見えが済んで、入御となった。
一、右が済んで、老中が殿上の間へ行き、両使に挨拶をして退去した。その後大目付の指図があり、使者が退散し、大目付が御玄関の階上まで先導して、従者が順々に退却した。
一、御小性組・御書院番より出人三十人ずつ
一、御書院番所より勤仕する本番ともに、皆素袍を着用
一、大御番出人百人が大広間の四の間で勤番し、素袍を着用
一、出仕の面々の乗物は大手の方の除地の内、桜田の方に置いた
一、両聘使の屋轎は下乗橋の張番所の際に置いた

1. After the above was completed, those of fourth rank and above proceeded directly from their seats to appear before the shogun for audience. After the rōjū (senior councilors) completed their greetings and withdrew, in the inner quarters with curtains lowered, the page attendants had the dividing screens moved to the rear chamber by the dōbō (attendants). Then the curtains were raised, and after the daimyo of ten thousand koku and above and all others who were at the threshold of the lower level completed their audience, the shogun withdrew.
1. After this was completed, the rōjū went to the palace chamber and exchanged greetings with both envoys before withdrawing. Afterward, the ōmetsuke (inspector) gave instructions, the envoys dispersed, and the ōmetsuke led them to the top of the entrance stairs, with the retainers withdrawing in order.
1. Thirty men each from the page guard and the library guard units
1. Those serving from the library guard office, both regular and substitute members, all wore plain robes (suō)
1. One hundred men from the great guard served in the fourth chamber of the great hall, wearing plain robes
