右御返翰御儒者荒井勘解由作之
一十一月廿一日琉球人音楽被為 聞召付登 城
一両使松平薩摩守従芝屋敷増上寺表門通り通町え
芝口御門前より御堀端幸橋屋敷際より日比谷
御門八代洲河岸通り龍の口井上河内守屋敷前腰懸
後通大手御門より登 城行列幷道筋警衛等

一使者幷従者下乗下馬如前御玄関至階上時板縁え
大目付出向而令差図殿上間下段着座従者は同次
之間に列居下官は御玄関庭上に群居
一松平薩摩守先達て登 城殿上之間下段に着座
一大広間御次之間に御譜代衆後座に諸衆並其外
御役人寄合法印法眼伺公
一御縁に諸衆奏者番頭御役人列居
一西之御縁之方に高家衆列居
一出御已前より薩摩守大広間下段より五畳目東之方に
着座御向之縁に畳敷之両使御縁敷居之際に伺公
楽人は御向に列居

中山王閣下に奉復する
右の御返翰は御儒者荒井勘解由が作成した
一、十一月二十一日、琉球人の音楽が聞召されることになり、登城した
一、両使は松平薩摩守とともに芝屋敷から増上寺表門を通り、通町へ、
芝口御門前より御堀端、幸橋屋敷際より日比谷
御門、八代洲河岸通り、龍の口、井上河内守屋敷前で腰懸け
後、大手御門より登城した。行列並びに道筋警衛等は
元の通り
一、使者並びに従者の下乗下馬は前の通り、御玄関から階上の時、板縁に
大目付が出向いて指図を行い、殿上間下段に着座、従者は同じ次
の間に列居、下官は御玄関庭上に群居した
一、松平薩摩守は先に登城し、殿上の間下段に着座した
一、大広間の御次の間に御譜代衆、後座に諸衆並びにその外の
御役人が寄合い、法印法眼が伺候した
一、御縁に諸衆、奏者番頭、御役人が列居した
一、西の御縁の方に高家衆が列居した
一、出御以前より薩摩守は大広間下段より五畳目東の方に
着座、御向の縁に畳を敷き、両使は御縁敷居の際に伺候した
楽人は御向に列居した

In reply to His Excellency the King of Chūzan
The above reply letter was composed by the Confucian scholar Arai Kageyu
1. On the 21st day of the 11th month, Ryukyuan music was to be heard by His Lordship, so they ascended to the castle
1. Both envoys, together with Matsudaira Satsuma-no-kami, proceeded from the Shiba residence through the main gate of Zōjō-ji temple to Tōri-machi,
from the front of Shibaguchi Gate along the moat embankment, past Kōbashi residence to Hibiya
Gate, through Yashiro-gawa riverside road, Tatsu-no-kuchi, resting in front of Inoue Kawachi-no-kami's residence,
then ascending to the castle through Ōte Gate. The procession and security along the route were
as before

the ōmetsuke came out to give instructions. They were seated in the lower section of the palace chamber, attendants were lined up in the adjacent
