楊香（ヤンヒヤン） 明曲（ミンキヨ）
楊香虎を打つ 年はまさに十四、性質は純良で父に孝行を尽くす 共に田に往き、
田辺で粟を収穫し、転じて過ぎて岡に入る時、一つの猛虎が走り来るのを見る 父は猖狂し、虎が父を
咥えて去ろうとするのを見て、怒って楊香を殺そうとする 噫、前に向かって父を救わんと手に刀槍もなく躍り
前進して挙動慌ただしく、ただ父を和らげることがあって己が亡ぶることを顧みず、虎の頭
上を按じ 噫、頭を揮い挙げて眼眶を蹴る その老虎は走り去って方に父を
保ち親は終に恙なし 学を為すに当たって知るべき趨向あり 身を修むることを論ずれば須らく倹
譲を尽くし、温良にして仁を求むべし 未だ仲由の堂に入らずとも貧に安んじて且つ顔回の巷に臥す これ
男児の志気、努力して自ら強くせよ 聖賢の径伝、心を潜めて会溝せよ
奎光直ちに透る三千丈

On November 21st of the Kanoe-Tora year, we went to the castle and respectfully performed Ming-Qing songs at Kinjo
Yang Xiang (Yanhyan) - Ming melody (Minkyo)
Yang Xiang fights the tiger - At the age of exactly fourteen, with a pure and good nature, he devoted filial piety to his father. Together they went to the fields,
harvesting millet at the field's edge, then passing through and entering a hill where they saw a fierce tiger running toward them. The father became frantic, seeing the tiger about to
seize his father and carry him away, in anger Yang Xiang tried to kill [the tiger]. Ah, advancing forward to save his father with no sword or spear in hand, he leaped
forward with hurried movements, only thinking to pacify his father without regard for his own death, pressing down on the tiger's
head. Ah, swinging his raised head and kicking its eye sockets, that old tiger ran away and thus his father was
protected and the parent was ultimately unharmed. In pursuing learning, one should know the proper direction. When discussing self-cultivation, one must fully practice frugality and
courtesy, being gentle and good while seeking benevolence. Even if not yet entering Zhongyu's hall, one should be content in poverty and lie down in Yan Hui's alley. This is
the spirit of a man - strive and strengthen yourself. The traditional teachings of sages and worthies - quiet your heart and contemplate deeply.
