一被遣物御目録幷老中よりの返翰箱に入奏者番持参
　両使え相渡之
一相済而老中殿上之間え相越此時薩摩守遠路所相越
　太儀に被為　思召旨　上意之趣両使え申聞之其後両使
　自分之拝領物進物番持参頂戴之此時従者え之
　拝領物之儀も両使え申渡之則進物番持出之

御目見得が済んで入御された。

一、下賜物の御目録並びに老中からの返翰を箱に入れ、奏者番が持参して両使に渡した。

一、済んでから老中が殿上之間に来た。この時薩摩守が遠路はるばる来たことを大儀に思し召される旨の上意の趣を両使に申し聞かせた。その後両使への自分からの拝領物を進物番が持参し、頂戴した。この時従者への拝領物の件も両使に申し渡し、すぐに進物番が持ち出した。両使が御礼をして退去した。この時薩摩守が退座して御礼を述べた。

一、大目付が指図して使者が退散した。大目付が御玄関の階上まで先導し、従者が順々に退去した。

一、勤番その外は先日の御礼の時のとおり。

The formal audience was completed and [the shogun] entered.

1. The catalog of gifts to be bestowed and return letters from the senior councilors were placed in boxes, which the ceremonial announcers brought and handed to both envoys.

1. After completion, the senior councilor came to the Hall of Nobles. At this time, Satsuma-no-kami conveyed to both envoys the imperial message expressing appreciation for their arduous journey from afar. Afterwards, personal gifts for both envoys were brought by the gift attendants and received. At this time, the matter of gifts for their retainers was also conveyed to both envoys, and the gift attendants immediately brought them out. Both envoys expressed their gratitude and withdrew. At this time, Satsuma-no-kami left his seat and expressed his thanks.

1. The chief inspector gave instructions and the envoys departed. The chief inspector led them to the top of the steps at the main entrance, and the retainers withdrew in order.

1. The duty officers and others [performed ceremonies] as on the day of formal thanks.
