現代語訳

果たして顛素と異なることがない。蓋しその国の僧は皆日本に遊学し、帰って自国の子弟に書を習わせて教えている。汪録に言うところの皆草書にして隷字無しというのは、今見ると果たしてその通りである。それが日本国の書であることに疑いはない。

琉球語
　《割書：臣》按ずるに前明嘉靖中の冊使陳侃の記に云う。夷語夷字有りと称し、末に附録すと。所伝の鈔本は欠けて未だ見ず。万暦中の冊使夏子陽給諫の使録には、刻して琉語有り。本朝張学礼冊使も、また略々雑記中に載す。今その本に就いて、少し訂正を加える。対音参差として、軽重清濁の間、終に訛り無きこと能わず。

英語訳

Indeed, there is no difference from the Dian Su style. The monks of that country all study abroad in Japan, and upon returning, they teach the children of their native country to practice calligraphy. What is recorded in Wang's record about everything being in cursive script with no clerical script is indeed true when observed today. There is no doubt that it is Japanese calligraphy.

Ryukyu Language
　Note: According to records, the envoy Chen Kan during the Jiajing period of the former Ming dynasty wrote that there were barbarian languages and barbarian characters, which were to be appended at the end. The transmitted manuscript copies are missing and have not yet been seen. The mission record of the envoy Xia Ziyang during the Wanli period was engraved and contains Ryukyu language. Our dynasty's envoy Zhang Xueli also briefly recorded some in his miscellaneous notes. Now, based on those sources, I add some corrections. Due to discrepancies in phonetic correspondence and variations in tone and voice, it is ultimately impossible to avoid errors.
