仍て爰にあらまし。故人のおしへを述（のぶ）るなり。
扨大勢集る医者に。得失（とくしつ）有る事なれば。
是（これ）を知（し）るが肝要（かんよう）也。良（よい）醫者は自心（じしん）に得た
㕝が有る故。威勢（いせい）のつよひ者に恐れず。又
よわい者をも慢（あなど）らず。人の善（よき）に付て。我悪（わがあく）き
を立（たて）ぬ故。何角（なにか）に付て曲（まが）る㕝なし。また
庸医者（へたいしや）は。心に偽（いつはり）多く。威勢（いせい）有る者（もの）には。

かず。自分（じぶん）の悪を立る故。病家の害に成るなり。
今時の医者を見るに多くは学問（がくもん）もせず。
只世に隨（したが）ふを勤（つとめ）とし。或は時医者の勢ひ有る
ものを師と頼み。名をかりて人に知られん㕝を
求め。或は困窮（こんきう）して家業（かげう）の無き者もの。或は□
氣にて。他の業（わざ）のならぬ者か。俄に医者に成て。

そこでここに概要として、古人の教えを述べるのである。
さて大勢集まる医者には、良い点と悪い点があることなので、
これを知ることが肝要である。良い医者は自分の心に確信を得た
ことがあるので、威勢の強い者を恐れず、また
弱い者をも軽んじない。人の善いことに従って、自分の悪い考え
を主張しないので、何事につけても曲がったことがない。また
庸医は、心に偽りが多く、威勢のある者には

へつらい、力のない者を見下して、人の善いことに従わず、

今時の医者を見ると、多くは学問もせず、

Therefore, here I shall outline the teachings of the ancients.
Now, among the many doctors who gather together, there are merits and demerits,
so it is essential to understand these. Good doctors have gained confidence
in their own hearts, so they do not fear those with strong influence, nor
do they look down upon the weak. They follow what is good in others and do not
assert their own bad ideas, so there is nothing crooked about them in any matter. Also,
quack doctors have much falsehood in their hearts, and toward those with influence

they flatter, while looking down on those without power. They do not follow
what is good in others and assert their own bad ideas, thus becoming harmful to patients' households.
Looking at doctors of today, most do not study,
but merely make it their duty to follow worldly ways. Some rely on influential
doctors of the time as their teachers, seeking to borrow their reputation to become known,
while others are impoverished with no family trade, or are sickly and
unable to pursue other occupations, suddenly becoming doctors.
