第三 時医名医を用まじき事
古人曰。明医不＿レ如＿二時医＿一 （めいゐははやりいにしかずと）。是は学問の有る医者にても。
時医の勢ひ有るには。及はぬといふ事也。仍而 時医（じい）名医（なゐ）
の害有る事を諸書に載（のせ）たり。まづ時医といふは
学問はなけれ共。時の仕合にて用ひらるゝをいふ。
名医といふは。素（もとより）医者の器量は無けれ共。親／師匠（しせう）
の名をかりて用ひらるゝをいふ也。今時 是等（これら）の

問の無き事は知つて居ながら。まづ見かけが能けれ
ば上手とおもひ。敬ひを尽し禮（れい）を厚（あつ）くして用る事。
中〳〵学医の及はぬ㕝也医者も亦用らるゝに随
がつて。いよ〳〵人を欺く事を勤（つとめ）とす。甚しきに到（いたつ）
ては。前金を取て療治する類有り。言語道断（ごんこだうだん）
の事也。是／素（もとより）病を治して。人の為にせんと思ふ

第三 時医・名医を用いてはならないこと
古人が言った。「明医は時医に如かず」（優秀な医者でも流行の医者には及ばない）。これは学問のある医者でも、時医の勢いがあるものには及ばないということである。したがって時医・名医の害があることを諸書に記載している。まず時医というのは、学問はないけれども、時の運で用いられる者をいう。名医というのは、もともと医者の器量はないけれども、親や師匠の名前を借りて用いられる者をいうのである。現在これらの
