心はなく、他の生活手段がないまま、仕方なしに医者をする者なので、ただ利欲のみにふけって、病人の家の貧富を選んで治療するのである。これをもって古人も、今の医は媚びへつらい飾ることを専らとして、真の医ではない。たとえば遊女が顔に紅白粉を施して人をたぶらかすのと同じだと言っている。まことに世の盛衰とはいいながら、是非もないことである。
