考るに。多くはねつ病の類也。古人のねつ病
に。冷水（ひやみつ）をあたへて。験（しるし）を得る事。諸書に載（のせ）
たり。恐らくは是等の病。符水にてしるし
有るべし。然るに其訳をもしらず。諸病みな
符水にて愈ると心得れば。舟にきさみ。くゐぜ
を守るの類也。古人も神巫／高僧（こうそう）。誠心（せいしん）に
いのりて。治する所只／瘧（おこり）の一病のみ。その外

やう〳〵瘧の一病ゟ外は愈す事かならぬと云。
まして今時の無徳の人の祈祷まじない
で。諸病が愈るべきやうなし。然けに符祝は。
祝由科（しゆくゆうくわ）とて。古は医術の一つ也。是はみな精気（せいき）
の滞（とゞこほ）より起る病。又は七情の変（へん）に至つては。
薬物の及はざる所有り。其おもひつめたる欝（うつ）

考えてみると、多くは熱病の類である。古人の熱病
に冷水を与えて効果を得ることが、諸書に載せ
られている。恐らくはこれらの病気は、符水で効果が
あるだろう。しかしながらその理由も知らず、あらゆる病気がみな
符水で治ると心得れば、舟に刻み目をつけて、剣を
探すの類である。古人も神巫や高僧が、誠心に
祈って治療する所は、ただマラリアの一病のみで、その他

の病気は治らないと言っている。昔の神巫・高僧でさえ
ようやくマラリアの一病以外は治すことができないと言う。
まして今時の徳のない人の祈祷・まじない
で、諸病が治るはずがない。しかしながら符祝は、
祝由科といって、古くは医術の一つである。これはみな精気
の滞りから起こる病気、また七情の変化については、

could barely cure anything other than malaria alone.
How much less could the prayers and incantations
of today's people without virtue cure various diseases. However, talisman prayers are
called "Zhuyou-ka" and were anciently one of the medical arts. These are all for diseases arising from stagnation of vital energy, and also for changes in the seven emotions,
there are areas where medicinal substances cannot reach. That deeply contemplated melancholy
