現代語訳

【図の説明】
襪（足袋）
　布製または革製で、足袋は短く足首より上まで
　外向きに中央線で開口部があり、交差して結ぶ。足
　指の部分に別に一つの穴を作り、親指
　を草履の中に通すためである。

靸（草履）
　草履は細い席草を編んで作り、前に一本の
　縄があり親指との間を仕切る。踵を引きずって歩く。
　男女ともに着用する。

儀従（儀礼の従者）
　国和　開棍二人、刀二人、鎗二人、旗二人、計五十人、緑
　紬傘、板輿二人が担ぐ《割書：外は倭緞と銅釘を用い、内は彩絵を加える。轎の形式は竹轎と皆同じ》
　法司王舅　紅開棍二人、紅板二人、真倭刀二人、真倭
　鎗二人《割書：鎗の上に大紅呢の旗がある。長さ一尺、幅二寸ほど》竹輿二人が担ぐ（以下同様）

[Figure descriptions]
襪 (Tabi/Socks)
　Made of cloth or leather, the tabi are short, reaching above the ankle
　with an opening along the center line facing outward, crossed and tied. At the
　toe area, a separate hole is made for the big toe
　to fit into the grass sandals.

靸 (Grass Sandals)
　Sandals are woven from fine mat grass, with one
　rope in front separating the big toe. The heel drags when walking.
　Both men and women wear them.

儀従 (Ceremonial Retinue)
　Kokuwa: Two staff bearers, two sword bearers, two spear bearers, two flag bearers, fifty people total, green
　silk umbrella, palanquin carried by two people《Marginal note: Exterior uses Japanese satin and copper nails, interior adds colored paintings. The palanquin style is the same as bamboo palanquins》
　Hōshi ōkyu: Two red staff bearers, two red board carriers, two genuine Japanese sword bearers, genuine Japanese
