現代語訳
某筑登之親雲上と称する。従六品は徳郎に叙し、従七品は功郎に叙し、
皆某掟親雲上と称する。八品の紅帽官は某里之子と称し、領地方
者は某地里主と称する。九品の紅帽官は筑登之と称し、未入流は某
子と称し、皆姓名を称さないのである。具体的に左に列記する如くである。

英語訳
They are called "certain Chikudun no Pechin-guwa." The sixth rank junior grade is granted the title of Tokurō, the seventh rank junior grade is granted the title of Kōrō, and all are called "certain Sadame Pechin-guwa." Officials of the eighth rank with red caps are called "certain Satono-shi," and those governing territories are called "certain Place Satozukasa." Officials of the ninth rank with red caps are called "Chikudun no," those not yet in the ranks are called "certain-shi," and none use their family or personal names. The specifics are listed below as follows:
State Minister (Kokusō): One person, Senior First Rank. A royal uncle with talent and strategy is appointed to this position.
Genkō: Senior First Rank. Royal sons and brothers receive this investiture.
District Marquis (Gunkō) and Town Marquis (Yūkō): Junior First Rank. Descendants of Genkō receive this investiture. Those with merit are promoted, and their rank is the same as Genkō.
Legal Officials (Hōshi): Three persons, Senior Second Rank. Royal uncles-in-law and meritorious relatives are appointed to these positions. The Heavenly Bureau of Rites, the Earthly Bureau of Agriculture, and the Human Bureau rotate their palace duties. Important matters are discussed collectively and reported to the State Minister. Additional Legal Official positions have the same rank.
Purple Turban Officials: Junior Second Rank. Either district earls or town earls. They are high ministers serving as vice-ministers with no fixed number. Some also hold additional Legal Official titles.
Jimoku Officials: Four persons, Senior Third Rank. Host Affairs Jimoku Official (local name: Gosashi-gawa) one person, Protocol Jimoku Official (local name: Gosōshi-kuriya) one person, Criminal Affairs Jimoku Official (local name: Hyōdō-gawa) one person, Port Management Jimoku Official (local name: Tomari-jitō) one person. All participate in discussing government affairs and are all called "Messenger Officials" (local name: Mōshiguchi-shū). Additional Messenger Officials (local name: Mōshiguchi-za) are Junior Third Rank with no fixed number in their duties.
Advisory Officials (Sangi-kan): Senior Fourth Rank. They assist the Messenger Officials and, as Treasury Officials, deliberate on various government affairs.
