モ詳（ツマヒラカ）ナラズ凡（シヨソ）仏像石（ブツゾウセキ）仏紋石（フツモンセキ）ノ事 諸家（シヨカ）ノ珍（チン）
現代語訳
べきことは困難であろう。ここに了道師は、末代の亀鑑とし、かつは帰郷の賜物にしようと思って、三日三夜、丹誠を込めて岩窟に籠もり、一つの仏体を得ることを願った。すると満月の夜の五更（午前四時頃）に、一つの仏体を感得した。随喜の涙で時を移し、これを背負って帰った。また面像・座光は自然石でありながら儼然として拝まれるようである。今に当寺の什物としている」と記されている。
また近江国三上山正覚寺に阿弥陀石を珍蔵している。当山にて得たとされるけれども詳しいことはわからない。およそ仏像石・仏紋石のことについては、諸家の珍

such work would be extremely difficult. Here, Master Ryōdō, intending to make this a model for future generations and also as a gift for his return home, devoted himself with sincerity for three days and three nights, secluding himself in the rock cave and praying to obtain one Buddha image. Then, on the night of the full moon at the fifth watch (around 4 AM), he received one Buddha body through divine grace. With tears of joy, he spent time there and then carried it back on his shoulders. Moreover, the facial features and seated radiance, though natural stone, appear dignified and worthy of worship. It is recorded that this remains a temple treasure to this day."
