近江国大津の町家の鳥葺き屋根に置かれた石で、時々カラスが来て突いている一つの石があった。そこで注意深くこれを見ると、他の石は突かず、ただ一つの石のみを数日間同じように突いている。あまりに不思議に思い、その家の主人に断ってこの石を降ろして見たが、普通の石と異なることはなかった。

There was a stone placed on the thatched roof of a townhouse in Otsu, Omi Province, which crows would come and peck at from time to time.
