When lightning struck Tottori, dozens of arrowhead stones were collected. When lightning struck the Ochi River in Omi Province, what people commonly call "tengu claws" were picked up. Besides these, there are instances of obtaining such objects even without any accounts of lightning strikes. The colors, shapes, and sizes are not uniform—there are various kinds of different appearances. Many "tengu claws" are excavated from the Kuchibata fields in a certain place in Noshu. They are also found in sand, within stones, or in old roofs and such places. There are many thunder axes and arrowhead stones at Mount Kinshozan in Akasaka, Mino Province. There are thunder rings at Mount Akibasan in Enshu. Thunder axes have been picked up in the mountains of Ishibe post town in Omi Province.
