ニ一物ヲ得タリ水ニ洗（アラヒ）テ見レバ桃（モヽ）ノ大サ許（ハカリ）ナル二ツ
双（ナラ）ビ色黒ク堅（カタ）キ石ニシテ夷大黒 連座（レンザ）ノ自然石（ジセンセキ）
彫刻（テウコク）セルガコドクシテ似像（ジザウ）ノモノ至テ美石（ビセキ）ナリト
甚タ珍重（チンテウ）シテ今ニ伝（ツタ）フシカレトモ此人 他郷（タキヤウ）ニ移（ウツリ）
テ今ハ大津ニ住（ヂウ）セズ又《割書：予》両神（リヨウシン）並（ナラビ）座（ザ）ス自然石（ジネンセキ）ヲ

一つの物を得た。水で洗って見ると、桃ほどの大きさの二つが並んでおり、色は黒く堅い石で、恵比寿・大黒が連座している自然石である。彫刻したもののようであるが似像のもので、とても美しい石であるという。非常に珍重して今に伝えているが、この人は他郷に移って、今は大津には住んでいない。また《私は》両神が並び座している自然石を蔵している。大きさは手を開いたほどで、色は黄赤である。片面から見ると二神が見え、片面は割れ肌である。江州多賀明神の山奥、戸羽谷の産である。この所に多く産出する。里人は人形石という。伝来は江州八幡山土田正宗寺の方丈から

When washed with water and examined, it was two objects about the size of peaches arranged side by side, black in color and made of hard stone - a natural stone showing Ebisu and Daikoku seated together. Though it appeared to be carved, it was a natural formation resembling carved figures, and was said to be a very beautiful stone. He treasured it greatly and it has been passed down to this day, but this person moved to another province and no longer lives in Ōtsu. Also, <<I>> possess a natural stone showing both deities seated side by side. It is about the size of an open hand and yellowish-red in color. When viewed from one side, the two gods can be seen, while the other side shows a natural fracture surface. It comes from Tobadani in the mountains behind Taga Shrine in Ōmi Province. Many are produced in this area. The local people call them "human-figure stones." The provenance is from the abbot of Shōsōji Temple at Tsuchida, Hachimanyama, Ōmi Province.
