Besides these, they should exist in various places throughout the eastern and northern provinces. Within the precincts of Ayugawa Kabushi Myōjin in Sado Province, the mountain god is worshipped every year on the ninth day of the second month. On the following tenth day, people from nearby villages enter the mountains to search for and collect arrowhead stones, which they obtain in great quantities. Also, at the seashore of Kumano in Kii Province, whales are caught. Between the skin and flesh of these whales, arrowheads
