古代ノ宝石ナリ此類形状大小ヒトシカラズ《割書：予》十余種

と名付けた。
古代の宝石である。この類の形状や大小は一様ではない。《割書：私》は十余種を集めて蓄えている。続編に図を表すつもりである。何たる物であるか知ることはできないが、思うに神の作であろう。
また、ある人が先年、濃州辺りへ産物修行に出て、赤坂辺りの山中でこれを見たという。その話は同様である。
そうであるならば、この辺りに稀にあると見える。鏃石、曲玉、雷斧の類であろう。

It is an ancient precious stone. The shapes and sizes of this type are not uniform. {{Marginal note: I}} have collected and stored over ten varieties. I shall present illustrations in a sequel. Though we cannot know what these objects are, I think they must be divine creations.
Also, a certain person said that in previous years, when he went on a natural products study trip to the Nōshū area, he saw these in the mountains around Akasaka. His account was similar.
If this is so, it appears they exist rarely in this region. They are likely of the same type as arrowhead stones, curved jewels, and thunder axes.
