現代語訳
三、四分、幅一寸五分、末端が尖って剣のようである。全体が欠けた面で、色は青黒い。鏃石の類かと思われるが、そうではない。石質が非常に堅く、人工で作れるものではない。肥前国大村の追岳にて入手したという。この辺りでは時々このような類のものを土中より出すことがあると、里人は剣石と言っている。

英語訳
Three to four bu thick, one sun and five bu wide, with a pointed end like a sword. The entire surface shows breakage, and the color is blue-black. Though it might be thought to be a type of arrowhead stone, it is not. The stone quality is extremely hard, beyond what human craftsmanship could achieve. It was obtained at Mount Oitake in Omura, Hizen Province. In this area, such specimens are occasionally unearthed from the soil, and the local people call them "sword stones."
