現代語訳
蒹葭堂なり。他に蔵せるを聞かず。予も藤門氏の恵みによって得たり。形甚だ雅にして美なり。
形状図のごとし。和州法隆寺山中より掘り得たり。
同州柳本釜口山、普賢院の珍蔵なり。
表図のごとく、裏無地にして鼠色なり。出所詳らかならず。京都西洞院錦上る島田宗順の所蔵なり。

英語訳
Kenkadō. I have not heard of others who possess them. I too obtained one through the kindness of Mr. Fujimon. Its form is extremely elegant and beautiful.
Its shape is as shown in the illustration. It was excavated from the mountains of Hōryū-ji Temple in Yamato Province.
From Kamano-kuchi Mountain in Yanagimoto of the same province, it is a treasured possession of Fugen'in.
The front is as shown in the illustration, the back is plain and mouse-colored. The source is not clear. It is in the collection of Shimada Sōjun of Nishitōin-Nishiki-agaru, Kyoto.
Its shape is as shown in the illustration, hard and lustrous. It was excavated from Sakaguchi Village on Mount Bentenyama at the foot of Mount Katsuragi in Yamato Province. Kōtō stone
