現代語訳
に一寸、或いは一寸余り少し。上に三筋高く彫り、上下に一穴有り。和州所々の神社の古地より稀に掘り出されり。他国より出ることいまだ聞かず。しかれども無きしるしたるものもあらざるべし。和州普賢院、同じく藤門周斎、勢州谷川氏、浪華蒹葭堂これを蔵す。共に和州の産なりという。予が蔵する所も和州三輪山の産なり。勢州谷川氏の考えによると、これは神代の太刀の頭にして、石剣頭というものなりと。

measures one inch, or a little over one inch. On top, three ridges are carved high, and there is one hole each on the top and bottom. These are rarely excavated from ancient grounds of shrines in various places in Yamashiro Province. I have not yet heard of them being found in other provinces. However, there should be some evidence that they do not exist [elsewhere]. Fugen-in in Yamashiro Province, similarly Fujimondo Shūsai, Mr. Tanigawa of Ise Province, and Kenkadō of Naniwa all possess these items. It is said that all are products of Yamashiro Province. What I possess is also a product of Mount Miwa in Yamashiro Province. According to the research of Mr. Tanigawa of Ise Province, these are the heads of swords from the age of gods and are called stone sword heads.
