石の性質は少し柔らかで上品ではない。持参した数は四つで、同じ物であるが形はそれぞれ異なる。
神代筒石 七
形状は竹の筒のようである。高さ二寸、太さ五寸回り。全体が青瑪瑙でできており、上々品である。大和国信貴山にて拾い得たという。足はあるがただす。今の玉工の及ぶ細工ではない。しかしながら彫刻されたもので、古代の神物、神の作である。今考えるに、二十年前に出雲国の人が玉造山にて拾い得たといって持参してきた。思うに同じ物である。

The nature of the stone is somewhat soft and not of superior quality. Four pieces were brought, all of the same material but each with different shapes.
Jindai Tsutsui-ishi (Divine Age Cylindrical Stones) - Seven
The shape resembles a bamboo tube. Height: two sun, circumference: five sun around. The entire piece is made of blue agate and is of the highest quality. It is said to have been found at Mount Shigi in Yamato Province. Though it has feet, it stands upright. This is not craftsmanship that today's jade workers can achieve. However, it is a carved object, a divine artifact from ancient times, created by the gods. Considering now, twenty years ago a person from Izumo Province brought one, saying it was found at Mount Tamatsukuri. I believe it is the same type of object.
