チクルユヘ石ヲイ《見せ消ち：ド｜ダ》キテ急（キウ）ニ陸（クガ）ヘハシリ来ル
又 奥州（ヲウシウ）ヲガチノ海中（カイチウ）ニ硯石（スヽリイシ）アリ名品（メイヒン）ナリ
是モ三月三日 大潮（ヲホシホ）引（ヒキ）ノ時 海底（カイテイ）ニ沈（シヅミ）テ採来（トリキタ）

現代語訳
今は砂中では得ることが難しく、水中に沈んで石を探し求めて抱きかかえて上がることになる。経が終わる時は潮が満ちてくるので、石を抱いて急いで陸へ走って来る。
また、奥州雄勝の海中に硯石がある。名品である。これも三月三日の大潮の引きの時、海底に沈んで採取してくるという。
石鍾乳 二十八
高山の洞窟にある。その色は白く、上から垂れ下がって氷柱のようである。白く照り輝いて見える時は雪のようで、銀の星がある。
英語訳
Nowadays it is difficult to obtain them from the sand, so people dive into the water to search for and gather the stones, carrying them up in their arms. When the sutra recitation ends, the tide comes in, so they must embrace the stones and quickly run back to shore.
Also, there are inkstone materials in the sea at Ogachi in Ōshū Province. These are famous quality stones. These too are said to be collected by diving to the seabed during the great low tide on March 3rd.

Found in caves of high mountains. Its color is white, hanging down from above like icicles. When it shines white and bright, it appears like snow with silver stars.
