但馬守平慶隆は摂津国の渡辺党遠藤の後胤也

但馬守平慶隆は摂津国の渡辺党遠藤の後裔である。
兵庫頭盛正の時代に及んで、その母が土岐美濃守光衡の
娘であったので、その縁により美濃国に移った。子孫は
ついに土岐氏の家臣となったのである。遠藤新兵衛尉胤好の
時代に及び、織田上総介殿が当国を併合された時、胤好は
最初に味方に参じたのである。胤好の嫡男新兵衛尉胤縁は
父の跡を継ぎ、二男太郎左衛門尉盛数は東下野守平常慶の
家を継いだ。《割書：世に伝わるところでは遠藤の家系についてその説は同じでない。一つには遠藤太郎左衛門尉盛数は実は胤好の子で、常慶がその娘に婿入りして家を譲ったとみえる。常慶より譲りを得てその家を継いだのであれば東と名乗るべきであろう。遠藤と名乗ることは理解できない。また一説には遠藤》

Endō
Tajima-no-kami Taira no Yoshitaka was a descendant of the Endō of the Watanabe faction in Settsu Province.
By the time of Hyōgo-no-kami Morimasa, his mother was a
daughter of Toki Mino-no-kami Mitsuhira, so through this connection
he moved to Mino Province. His descendants
eventually became retainers of the Toki clan. By the time of Endō Shinbei-no-jō Taneyoshi,
when Oda Kazusa-no-suke conquered this province, Taneyoshi
was the first to join his side. Taneyoshi's eldest son Shinbei-no-jō Taneyoshi
succeeded his father, and his second son Tarō Zaemon-no-jō Morikazu succeeded
the house of Azuma Shimotsuke-no-kami Taira no Tsuneyoshi.
