監物源直盛は人王七代孝霊天皇の皇子伊予皇子の

はしめ河野か一族伊予の国をさりて美濃の国に来り
当国の守護土岐の家につかふ主の姓賜てそれより姓改めて
源氏になり一柳とそ名のりける《割書：世につたふるは此家の先祖幷｜なき鞠の上手なれは主の》

Hitotsuyanagi Clan Appendix Tango-no-kami Saneshige
Kenbutsu Minamoto no Naomori was a descendant of Prince Iyo, who was a son of Emperor Kōrei, the seventh sovereign, and belonged to the lineage of Kōno Shirō Ochi no Michimoto. 《marginal note: Michimoto is said to be the thirty-ninth generation descendant of the prince》
Initially, the Kōno clan left Iyo Province and came to Mino Province, where they served the Toki family, who were the provincial governors of that country.
