第三 ds の御慈悲を頼みて
科を止めざる人の事
○爰に ds の御慈悲を本とし Xﾟの御ぱしよんを頼みとしてあしき
行儀を改めず心安く暮す人あり此迷ひを払はずんばあるべからず人
ありて ds は悪人に対してこそくるすに掛り給へ誠に御慈悲広大の御主
にて在ませば争か我等を捨給ふべきやと是又真なりといへども汝は彼
御哀憐をは悪を作る逃所と用る者也御主は罪を亡し給はん為にこそ
くるすには掛り給へそれを汝は罪を犯す便りとする也御主より
汝に与へ給ふ命なれば縦ひ百千の命を持といふとも悉く捧げ奉るべき
処に却て纔なる露命をさへ惜み狼藉を現じ奉る事は如何に爰を
以て観ぜよ我等が御扶手にて在ます御主の御死去の時堪へ給ふ御ぱし
よんの御苦しみよりも今の我等が罪を以て貴き御ぱしよんにあしき

「主を見つけることができる時に主を尋ね求めよ、近くにおられる時に呼び求めよ。」イザヤ書55章に見えたり。その君を見奉ることは叶わずといえども、今は我等の訴訟を聞き届けんと近くにおられる也。今その功徳を求めぬにおいては、御糾明の時至りて見奉るというとも、我等の叫びを少しも聞き入れられるべからずと心得よ。
第三 デウスの御慈悲を頼みて
罪を止めざる人の事
ここにデウスの御慈悲を本とし、キリストの御受難を頼みとして悪しき行儀を改めず心安く暮らす人あり。この迷いを払わずんばあるべからず。人ありて「デウスは悪人に対してこそ十字架に掛かり給えり。誠に御慈悲広大の御主にて在ませば、争でか我等を捨て給うべきや」と。これまた真なりといえども、汝はかの御哀憐をば悪を作る逃げ所と用いる者也。御主は罪を亡くし給わん為にこそ十字架には掛かり給えり。それを汝は罪を犯す便りとする也。御主より汝に与え給う命なれば、縦い百千の命を持つというとも悉く捧げ奉るべき処に、却ってわずかなる露命をさえ惜しみ、狼藉を現じ奉ることは如何に。

英語訳
"Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near." This appears in Isaiah 55. Though we cannot see that Lord, now He is near, ready to hear our petitions. Know that if you do not seek His grace now, even when the time of judgment comes and you see Him, He will not listen to our cries at all.
Chapter 3: Concerning Those Who Rely on God's Mercy
but Do Not Cease from Sin
Here there are people who, taking God's mercy as their foundation and relying on Christ's Passion, do not reform their evil conduct and live at ease. This delusion must be dispelled. There are those who say, "God hung on the cross precisely for sinners. Since He is truly a Lord of vast mercy, how could He abandon us?" This is also true, but you use that divine compassion as a refuge for doing evil. The Lord hung on the cross in order to destroy sin, yet you make it a means for committing sin. Since it is life given to you by the Lord, even if you had a hundred thousand lives, you should offer them all completely. Yet instead, you begrudge even this brief dewdrop of life and commit outrages against Him - how can this be?
Consider this: The suffering of the Passion that our Lord, who is our helper, endured at the time of His death is exceeded by our present sins, which bring evil to His precious Passion...
