塞ぎて行くがごとし善人は是に替りて真の道理に導かるゝが故に危き
事を遁れて辛苦をも軽くし給ふ者也
去ば善人の道といふは辛労少きのみにあらず却てそれを軽むる合力も又
多し其故は右に顕はす ds の御守りより初められ奉りすぴりつさんとの
がらさ貴き七ッの御授けの御精力 ds より与へ給ふ内心の悦び善人達の
明鏡をもて心を発し同く其御作業の記録を読て其道を学びよき
こんしゑんしやの悦びを以て後世の快楽も弥頼敷者なり其外 ds の
御恵みをうけ奉るを以て善を勤むる道は甘露と変ずるが故にぽろへた
ともに如何に御主御掟と御辞はさてもわが咽に甘き物哉我口は蜜よりも
甘しと申上べし又＊さんぱうろ尚此上を顕し給ひて万事の難を凌
ぐといへども心を苦めず貧窮なれども不足なく人よりせばめらるれ
共はなさるゝ事なし賤しめらるれども恥る事なく土までさげらるれ
共進退茲に窮まらずと宣ふ也如此の難路を平かになし給ふ道理多き
が故に全く汝善の勤めを嶮難の道なりと退く事なかれ
§五 右の道理を徹する明鏡の事
◦然に右条々の理りをもてもいまだ善の道に甘露ありといふ事を見ずんば
信ぜじとするにをひては其証拠なきにあらずそれら以前諸悪を本と

塞いで行くようである。善人はこれに代わって真の道理に導かれるが故に、危険なことを避けて辛苦をも軽くされる者である。
そうであるから善人の道というのは辛労が少ないのみならず、かえってそれを軽くする助力もまた多い。その理由は、右に示す神の御守護をはじめとして、聖霊と恩寵という貴い七つの御授けの御精力、神より与えられる内心の喜び、善人達の明鏡をもって心を発し、同じくその御業の記録を読んでその道を学び、良き良心の喜びをもって後世の快楽もますます頼もしいものである。その外、神の御恵みを受け奉ることによって善を勤める道は甘露と変わるが故に、預言者とともに「いかに御主の御掟と御言葉は、さても我が咽に甘いものよ。我が口には蜜よりも甘し」と申し上げるべきである。また聖パウロはなおこの上を表し給いて「万事の難を凌ぐといえども心を苦しめず、貧窮なれども不足なく、人より責められるとも放棄されることなし、貶められるとも恥じることなく、地まで下げられるとも進退ここに窮まらず」と宣うのである。このような難路を平らかになし給う道理が多いが故に、決して汝は善の勤めを険難の道なりと退くことなかれ。
第五節 右の道理を徹する明鏡の事
しかしながら右の条々の理によってもいまだ善の道に甘露ありということを見ずして信じないとするにおいては、その証拠がないのではない。それら以前に諸悪を本として

Because there are many reasons that make such difficult paths smooth, you must never retreat from the practice of good, thinking it to be a treacherous path.
