かはし夜を日について馳のほるに関か原のたゝかひ
事終りて近江の国 大津の宿にして 徳川殿に
参りあふ此のち天下一統して功罪を糺明あり
賞罰を沙汰せらる長重陳し申て 長重初より
東西の方いつれにくみすへしとも覚へすたゝ利長か
勧しによつてたちまち事の違乱出来て我城

交わし、夜を日に継いで馳せ上ったが、関ヶ原の戦いは事終わって、近江の国大津の宿で徳川殿に参り会った。この後、天下一統して功罪を糺明し、賞罰を沙汰された。長重が陳述申し上げて「長重は初めより東西のどちらに組みすべきとも考えず、ただ利長の勧めによってたちまち事の違乱が出来して我が城に籠った。また利長と戦ったことは私の恨みに報いるためにして、全く西軍に心を通わせた所ではない」と申したけれど、重い罪を得るべしと聞こえる。利長はこの様子を聞いて、初め東海道を上らせ給う
