一、木数五千本 御大手形 五通
右の通り、矢■川口橋通りの御使（おつかい）手形を奉り願い候ところに、下し忝（かたじけな）く、慥（たしか）に受け取り申し上げ候。誠に、右五千本の内、向（むこう）高迄の内、厚く相下し（あいくだし）仕廻い候節（せつ）、銭木（ぜにき）の合（ごう）書付を差し上げ申し上ぐべく候。此の趣（おもむき）、来の義、中沢山より伐り出し申し候木方（もくかた）に相違無く御座候。不紛（まぎれな）き義も滞り無く御座候。若し何とも右材木に付き六ヶ（ろっか）支（さわり）出来し仕り候節は、私共、何方（いずかた）迄も罷り出で、急度（きっと）申し牧（まき）仕るべく候。後のために如件（くだんのごとし）。

Memorandum (Oboegaki)
1. Timber quantity: 5,000 pieces — Large official passes (ō-tegata): 5 documents
Regarding the above, [we] humbly requested the use-passes via the Ya■ Kawaguchi Bridge route, and [we] gratefully and surely acknowledge receipt [thereof]. Indeed, with respect to the above 5,000 pieces, when [the timber] has been fully sent down and completed as far as [the destination known as] Mukō-taka, [we] shall submit a combined written statement (kakitsuke) of money and timber [tallies]. The nature of this matter is as follows: [we certify that] the timber [in question] is that which has been felled from Nakazawa mountain, without any doubt whatsoever, and [we confirm] there is nothing unclear or obstructed [in the accounting]. Should any difficulty (rokkashō) arise in connection with the above timber, we [the undersigned] shall appear before whatever [authority] is required and shall certainly make a full declaration [and take responsibility]. [Written] as evidence for the future. As stated.
