Item: Tanaka Saemon returned yesterday from Nakazawa, having brought back a reply letter (hensho) from Iijima. He reported that [the matter] had been settled without delay or difficulty.
Item: A letter from Jōzaemon-sama, [the contents of] which are as follows:
Regarding the three village petitions (mura-kata negaisho) that have been communicated to [you] on various occasions recently — [I] trust that [you] will be pleased to grant approval in accordance with the petition concerning long cloth (naga-nuno). Respectfully submitted.
