一、田原村の鵜匠より初鮎五つ献上（あり）。

一、高村の鵜匠より初鮎十一（尾） （甚助・船上）
五日
一、端午の御札十二（枚）以上、申し上げ候。
七日
一、江戸表においては若殿様が初めて御礼を仰せ上げられ候につき、麻上下着用にて（御）悦びを、例の通り相廻り申し候。同日、杢助殿御宅において、若殿様より（の）仰せ入れ候外、御悦びの義として御吸物・御酒を下さられ候段、仰せ渡され候。追って日限の義は仰せ渡され候ようにとのこと。今日もこの御事にて、今日は御礼を相廻るには及ばず申し候。頂戴の節は打廻り申し候ように、今日御沙汰（あり）。
八日
一、久兵衛、少々快方につき、今日役所へ出（仕）られ候。
十一日
一、今日仰せ成され候御吸物・御酒を書院（書鎗）にて頂戴仕り候。給人・宛共・中小姓・御供番、十二日五日に下さられ候旨、御礼（のため）御宗門（方）・御年寄中・御用人中へ相廻り申し候。

5th Month — Kyūzaemon
1st Day
One item: Five ayu (sweetfish) of the first catch [hatsugyo] presented by the cormorant fisherman of Tahara Village.
4th Day
One item: Eleven ayu of the first catch from the cormorant fisherman of Taka Village. (Jinsuke / Funauе)
5th Day
One item: Twelve or more ofuda [protective talismans] for the Boys' Festival [Tango no Sekku] — reported as above.
7th Day
One item: In Edo, the Young Lord [Wakadono-sama] presented his first formal greetings [o-rei], and accordingly, dressed in hemp ceremonial garb [asa-kamishimo], we made the customary rounds to express congratulations. On the same day, at the residence of Mokusuke-dono, it was conveyed that, in addition to the Young Lord's message, as a gesture of celebration, soup [o-suimono] and sake were to be bestowed. Regarding the date [for further formalities], it was said that instructions would follow. As for today, it was declared that it is not necessary to make the rounds of congratulations today; rather, when one goes to receive [the gift], one should make the rounds at that time — this was today's directive.
8th Day
One item: As Kyūbei has somewhat recovered, he attended [returned to] the office today.
11th Day
One item: Today, in accordance with the announcement, we received soup [o-suimono] and sake in the study/reception hall [shoin]. It was announced that the stipend recipients, retainers, junior attendants, and escort guards would receive [these gifts] on the 12th day and the 5th day [of the following month]. To offer thanks, rounds were made to the religious affairs office [go-shūmon], the elders [o-toshiyori-chū], and the administrators [go-yōnin-chū].
18th Day
One item: Today the following official matter was submitted:
The subordinate officer Kyūbei has recovered from his side ailment [wakiyamai], and accordingly, the payment [harai] for firewood from the lacquer fields [urushi-batake] at various locations has been submitted.
Memorandum
Two manservants [o-chūgen]
The above concerns the interest payment [kōri-harai] for the lacquer [transactions]; we wish to submit a request to receive [payment] by the 15th of next month. The above is so submitted.
