【左丁】

上伊那（かみいな）樋口村（ひぐちむら）の利八（りはち）と申す者の請負（ふり＝振り、すなわち請負）を、関松右衛門（せきまつえもん）が取り扱い罷り在り候ところ、去月二日に病死仕り候。これにより、杉橋（すぎはし）運上（うんじょう）の儀、御免（ごめん）被り下され候様にと、願書を差し出し候。御定（おさだめ）に有之、三月までは運上御免、三月より七月までは半役（はんやく）御免の御定法（おさだめほう）ゆえ、右の段申し渡し候。この段申し上げ候。

一、御用請繕（ごよううけつくろい）につき、御中間（おちゅうげん）三人分、昼食手形（てがた）御裏判（おうらはん）相済み、受け取り、利久兵衛（りきゅうべえ）へ相渡し申し候。

一、■（以下難読）にて御簗川（おやながわ）、この方■■にて村々（むらむら）様子よく相成り申し候。その内、御見分（ごけんぶん）に被り下され候。以上。

十四日

一、御用罷り成り、御築川（おつきかわ）様（の件に）申さず候。この間の出水（でみず）ならびに御茶屋下（おちゃやした）御簗（おやな）、仰せ付けられ候とも宜しく御座あるべく候。申し上げ候様（に）■■■につき、水入口（みずいりくち）取りの様に罷り成り候。しかしながら当御役筋（おやくすじ）にて御簗（おやな）取り置き上げ候、御物入（おものいり）■り可有之御座候。先年の通り郷方（ごうかた）へ御願い仰せ付けられ候わば、早速仕り候。■■申し上げ置き候。

一、条左衛門（じょうざえもん）殿・十蔵（じゅうぞう）殿・御納（おおさめ）・道久右衛門（みちきゅうえもん）・久兵衛（きゅうべえ）、左の通り姥ヶ懐（うばがふところ）御簗川（おやながわ）へ、見合わせのため罷り越し、その助（すけ）御談（ごだん）御座候。

A man named Rihachi from Higuchi Village in Kami-Ina, whose contract [furi, i.e., subcontracted operations] was being managed by Seki Matsuemon, died of illness on the 2nd day of last month. In consequence, a petition was submitted requesting exemption from the Sugibashi transport levy [un'jō]. As stipulated by the regulations, the levy is waived entirely through the 3rd month, and half-duty [han-yaku] is waived from the 3rd month through the 7th month; accordingly, this ruling was communicated [to the relevant parties]. The above has been duly reported.

One item: In connection with the official repair works [goyō uke-tsukuroi], the midday-meal vouchers [tegata] for 3 manservants [o-chūgen] were countersigned [o-urahan] and completed, received, and handed over to Riki Kyūbei.

One item: [Partially illegible] — at the Oyana River [o-yana-gawa], conditions in the various villages in this vicinity have become favorable. In due course, an official inspection [o-kenbun] is requested. The above is noted.

14th Day:

One item: Official duties were completed, and no report was made to [the official overseeing] the Otsukikawa [築川]. Regarding the recent flooding [de-mizu] and the fish weir [o-yana] below the teahouse [o-chaya], it would be appropriate to issue instructions accordingly. As reported, [due to circumstances related to ■■■], the situation has become such that the water intake point [mizu-iriguchi] is being managed. Nevertheless, since the weir [o-yana] is being managed and maintained under the current official jurisdiction [o-yaku-suji], there will likely be considerable expenses [o-mono-iri]. If, as in previous years, a petition is directed to the village communities [gō-kata], it can be handled promptly. The above has been duly reported.

15th Day:

One item: Jōzaemon-dono, Jūzō-dono, [the納 official], Michi Kyūemon, and Kyūbei — as listed below — proceeded to the Uba-ga-Futokoro area at the Oyana River to conduct a site inspection, and a discussion [o-dan] was held with the relevant assistant [sono-suke / the assistant official].
