One item: Four persons from the Serichō enclosure [kuruwa] were investigated [regarding their] official certificates [fuda]. Metōzō reported [the findings]. He stated that he had not received any communication regarding the traditional precedent [senkaku] for the levy [unjō]. [I] inquired of Lord Jūzō whether the matter should be left as it stands, and [Lord Jūzō's] response was that, since there is no established precedent either, the matter should be left aside [without further action for now]. Respectfully submitted.
