右、明十二日に小簗（こやな）の改めのため罷り越し申し候状（じょう）。桜井村の上下三人の昼食について、都合よく御計らい被仰付け下さり候様にいたしたく御座候。猶又、行きがかり次第、村に立ち寄り、村にて一宿（ひとやど）仕る義もあるべく御座候。且つ又、十三日は梅井村にて昼食仕りたく存じ奉り候。以上。

The following is a letter [stating that] on the 12th — tomorrow — [the writer] will travel to conduct an inspection of the small fish weirs [koyana]. [The writer] requests that arrangements be graciously made regarding the midday meal for the three persons — upper and lower ranking — from Sakurai Village. Furthermore, depending on how the journey proceeds, there may also be occasion to stop at a village and lodge there for one night. Additionally, [the writer] intends to take the midday meal at Umeii Village on the 13th. Respectfully submitted.

Regarding the above: as [I] will be traveling out tomorrow, the 12th, for the inspection of the small fish weirs [koyana], [I] would like to receive [the manservant] from the 6th hour [approx. noon] onward.

[He] was instructed to proceed once again on the 16th for another inspection [kenbu], and accordingly [the order was communicated] to Kyūbei.
