現代語訳
八町の町代中に呼び集めて割り渡し申し上げ候。
一両については下の町の町代中へ相渡し申し上げ候。また
受取書の件については例の通り御帳面に記載
されるものは御役所にございますので、追って役所へ
出向く際に印を押すよう杉左衛門殿が
おっしゃられましたので、恐れ入りますと申し上げ帰宅いたしました。
卯年十一月二十九日

右の御手当金、卯年十一月二十九日、請
会所において大倉正平殿のお取り次ぎにて請け
渡しを受け取り申し上げ候。受け取りましたならば受け取り置き、
御帳面にご記入、与右衛門一人の印にて
差し上げ申し、帰宅し同夜八町の町代
中に即刻相渡し申し候。
の件については鉾持町町代中まで相渡し候
間、受け取るよう申し渡し候。

[The money was] called together and distributed among the town representatives of the eight towns.
Regarding one ryō, it was handed over to the town representatives of the lower towns. Also
regarding the receipt documents, as usual those recorded in the official ledger
are kept at the government office, so when going to the office later
to affix seals, Mr. Sukezaemon instructed
[us to do so], so [I] replied with gratitude and returned home.
11th month, 29th day of the year of the Rabbit
1 gold: 25 ryō
The above allowance money, on the 29th day of the 11th month of the year of the Rabbit, at the reception
office through the intermediary of Mr. Ōkura Shōhei, the payment was received
and accepted. Having received it, [I] kept the receipt,
recorded in the official ledger, with Yoemon's seal alone
submitted it and returned home, and that same night immediately
distributed it among the town representatives of the eight towns.
Regarding the matter, it was handed over up to the town representatives of Hokomotichō,
so [I] instructed them to receive it.
