一、勇次郎の隣家の者共の儀、博奕宿をいたしているとは存ぜぬとの儀はあるまじきところ、お守りを閑（おろそか）に打ち過ごし候の段、不埒につき、過料銭申し付け候。
一、米三郎をはじめ外二人、親類組合との者共の儀、博奕手合いをいたし候義（こと）を知らぬとの儀はあるまじく、分御守りを閑（おろそか）に打ち過ごし候の段、不埒につき、過料銭申し付け候。
一、名主・代判・町代・組頭この儀、博奕手合いをいたし候はば、小屋敷霊見（検見）に差し加え人を若し相用いぬ候はば、取り扱い方もあるべきところ、■閑（おろそか）に相過ごし、不埒につき、過料銭申し付け候。

Item: Regarding the neighbors of Yūjirō — it is inconceivable that they were unaware that [his house] was being used as a gambling lodging; yet they negligently overlooked [the obligation to] maintain proper vigilance, and as this conduct was improper and unruly, they are hereby ordered to pay a penalty fine (過料銭).
Item: Regarding Yonezaburō and two other persons, together with their relatives and associates (親類組合) — it is inconceivable that they were unaware that gambling and fighting were taking place; yet they negligently overlooked [their duty to] maintain proper vigilance, and as this conduct was improper and unruly, they are hereby ordered to pay a penalty fine (過料銭).
Item: Regarding the village headman (名主), deputy seal-holder (代判), town representative (町代), and group leader (組頭) — if gambling and fighting were occurring, [they should have conducted] an inspection of the premises (小屋敷検見) and, if [the offenders] failed to comply, there were measures available to them for handling the matter; yet they negligently overlooked [their responsibilities], and as this conduct was improper and unruly, they are hereby ordered to pay a penalty fine (過料銭).
