以下の罪状を申し渡す
一、（見せ消ち：幾太郎→）勘次郎については、山室村の源兵衛宅において紛失物の取り調べを行うにあたり、槙屋孫八の指図に任せて、見届けもせずに同村の蔦兵衛を不当に取り調べた不埒な行為につき、押込の刑を申し付ける。十分に慎むように。

The following charges and punishments are hereby declared:
One: Regarding (correction: Ikitarō→) Kanjirō — in connection with the investigation into lost property at the residence of Genbei in Yamamuro village, he acted improperly by following the instructions of Makiya Mahachi without proper verification and conducting an unjust investigation of Tsuahibei of the same village. He is hereby sentenced to confinement (oshikomi). He is strictly admonished to reform his conduct.
Fifteenth day of the eleventh month

The above individual, in connection with the matter of lost property at the residence of Genbei in Yamamuro village, followed the instructions of Makiya Mahachi and Mahachi's associate Kanjirō, and conducted an unduly harsh and forceful investigation of Tsuahibei of the same village. This conduct being improper, he is hereby sentenced to confinement (oshikomi). He is strictly admonished to remain reformed in his conduct.
