in Mukōjima, there were many people
and they made merry with dancing.
Firmly resolved,
they went to someone's
lower residence,
keeping in mind
a brief
encounter.

Yacho, with drunken eyes, took dancing girls to the lower residence,
asking the hairdressers to help him seduce them.
The hairdressers readily agreed, and from then on
it became a matter of sweet-talking as they pleased.
"Everyone, please
do me this favor, and in return
I'll treat you to theater.
Go lightly to Maruya no Ichi's
place and tomorrow
arrange for four or five
rehearsal performances
and come back."
"This morning
I sent a letter
to Katsuki's
