現代語訳

器皿

室内では皆が床に座り、椅子や机を使わない。飲食の道具は皆低く小さく作られて使いやすくしている。中国本土と異なる製法のものを左図のように描く。

盤

すべて飲食で碗を置く器具は、古代の俎豆や盤器のようで、方形や円形があり、皆脚が付いて高さ五六寸ほどである。食事の際は数個の器を前に並べる。

煙架

煙架は一組の中に火炉一つ、唾壺一つ、煙盆一つがある。室内に数組を置き、人の前に各々一組ずつ置く。王宮で製造使用されるものは非常に精巧で美しい。

Utensils and Vessels

In the rooms, everyone sits on the floor without using chairs or tables. All eating and drinking utensils are made low and small for convenience of use. Those with designs different from mainland China are illustrated as shown on the left.

Trays

All vessels used for placing bowls during meals are like the ancient ritual vessels zu and dou, or tray-like containers. They come in square or round shapes, all with legs about five to six sun in height. During meals, several vessels are arranged in front of each person.

Smoking Stand

A smoking stand set contains one fire brazier, one spittoon, and one tobacco bowl. Several sets are placed in a room, with one set placed in front of each person. Those manufactured and used in the royal palace are extremely refined and elegant.
