現代語訳

炉

水火炉は軽便に作られており、銅面に錫裏で、一つには火を、一つには水を置く。外側に小さな木の架台を作ってこれを載せる。下の二層は黒漆の化粧箱が三四個あり、中に茶具を蔵し、茶を入れる。中国王は秀才二人にこれを管理させ、客が遊びに出かける際には携帯して随行させる。

机《割書：書架》

曲隠机は古式に倣い、身の回りが扇形のように湾曲し、高さは一尺ほどである。その上に褥を加えて寄りかかる。書架は鏡架のようで、小さな座が付いており、高さは半尺ほど、床に座って使用する。

Brazier

The water and fire brazier is made for lightness and convenience, with a copper surface and tin lining—one holds fire, one holds water. A small wooden frame is made on the outside to hold them. The lower two tiers contain three or four black-lacquered cosmetic boxes that store tea utensils and hold tea. The Chinese king assigns two scholars to manage this, and when guests go out for pleasure, they carry it along with them.

The curved reclining desk follows an ancient style, with the body curved like a fan shape, about one shaku high. A cushion is placed on top to lean against. The book stand is like a mirror stand with a small base, about half a shaku high, used while sitting on the floor.
