現代語訳

果たして顛素（てんそ）と異なることがない。思うにその国の僧は皆日本に遊学し、帰って自国の子弟に書を習わせて教えている。汪録に言うところによれば皆草書で隷字がないとのことだが、今見るに果たしてその通りである。これが日本国の書であることは疑いない。

琉球語
　　【注記：臣】前明嘉靖中の冊使陳侃の記に云うを按ずるに「夷語夷字があるので末尾に附録すると称している」とある。
　　伝わる鈔本は欠けていて未だ見ていない。万暦中の冊使夏子陽給諫の使録には、刻して琉語がある。
本朝の張学礼冊使も、また略々雑記中に載せている。今その本に就いて、少し訂正を加える。
　　対音は参差として、軽重清濁の間で、終には訛りを免れることができない。

英語訳

Indeed, it is no different from the Dian-Su style. It seems that the monks of that country all study abroad in Japan, and upon returning, they teach their own country's children and disciples to practice calligraphy. According to Wang's record, it says that all was in cursive script with no clerical script, and seeing it now, this is indeed the case. There is no doubt that this is the calligraphy of Japan.

Ryukyu Language
　　[Note: Official] According to the records of Chen Kan, the investiture envoy during the Jiajing period of the former Ming, it states "there are barbarian language and barbarian characters, so they are claimed to be appended at the end."
　　The transmitted manuscript copies are incomplete and have not yet been seen. The mission record of Xia Ziyang, the remonstrating official and investiture envoy during the Wanli period, has Ryukyu language carved in it.
Our dynasty's investiture envoy Zhang Xueli also briefly recorded it in his miscellaneous notes. Now, referring to that source, I add slight corrections.
　　The phonetic correspondences are irregular, and between light-heavy and clear-muddy sounds, corruption cannot ultimately be avoided.
