浅草の女狐と男狐が
死んだのを聞き、女に化けて
この所に来たる鷺の
怨念は娘と
化し、女獅子の香炉も
女の姿となり、
南龍王の女房、
何蛇龍女も
夫を
慕い来たる。
さて仲蔵が
大日坊は
娘の怨念と
感じて
女の形を
現したゆえ、
どうやら
もっともらしけれども、
この大日坊は
なぜ忍売の
娘となって
来たりしや、
不思議千万なり。
このほか田舎娘一人、
これは何の
わけもなく、
お清を娘の
親玉として
連れ添う。
七人が鐘の供養を
拝みに
来たる。

英語訳
The female fox and male fox of Asakusa
having died, hearing this, the resentful spirit
of a heron that came to this place
transformed into a maiden,
and the female lion incense burner also
took the form of a woman.
The wife of the Southern Dragon King
and the serpent dragon goddess
also came here
longing for their husbands.
Now, Nakazō's
Dainichibo,
sensing the maiden's
resentful spirit,
manifested
a female form.
Though this seems
quite plausible,
why did this Dainichibo
come as the daughter
of a shinobu-uri vendor?
This is most mysterious indeed.
Besides these, there is one country maiden—
she has no particular
reason for being here,
but accompanies them
with Okiyo as
the leader of the maidens.
Seven women came
to worship
at the bell consecration ceremony.
