和宮様の御下向につき、御紋兵衛や御勒などの御入用が少なくない。できる限り下々の御厭となるお気持ちから、品々の御差図も為されており、他への帰属で済ませたところ、なおまた去る文久二年(戌年)の御参府後、御役場等が仰せを蒙り類焼した後、七ヶ年も御玄関向けや御主の御座敷等がなく、誠に御無理に御仕舞いになられたけれども、御不都合なことであるため、已むを得ず御玄関向けの御普請を行った。もっとも表御屋敷は御模様替えで済ませることができたけれども

With the lord's consideration to avoid burdening the lower classes as much as possible, various directives were issued and matters were settled through arrangements with others. However, after the lord's attendance in Edo in Bunkyū 2 (Year of the Dog), when the government offices and such received imperial orders and were burned down, for seven years there were no proper entrance halls or lord's reception rooms. Although they managed with great difficulty, this was truly inconvenient, so they had no choice but to undertake construction of the entrance hall facilities.
