現代語訳
父母如天地（父母は天地のごとく）
師君如日月（師君は日月のごとし）
父母孝朝夕（父母には孝行を朝夕に）
師君仕昼夜（師君には昼夜に仕えよ）
私を産んでくれるのは父母、私を育ててくれるのは天地である。孝行な人は天道様に可愛がられ、不孝な者は憎まれる。
大場が元鳥は空しく、母の拳に残って地に埋もれ、活気よく構う桑の葉に借りて地より出づる。舜王が日に迫られれば天が雨を降らし、嫁が姑を罵れば雷がこれを打つ。これは天道様に可愛がられるのと憎まれるのとの違いである。
お父さんやお母さんの大恩は富士の山より高く、近江の湖より深い。君主の恵みはお日様の影のように等しく温かで、のどやかに暮らせる。お師匠さんの恩はお月様のごとく暗きを照らし、明らかに導いてくれる。
お師匠さん、お父さん、お母さんの前では手をついて物を申し上げよ。あの日月の恩を忘れ、迷いの雲に覆われてしまってはいけない。毎日にカラスの反哺の孝があり、月にウサギの大手柄がある。月日の鼠が中となけば万代の亀が高に留まる。
甘やかされた青鼻垂れよりも良い、だんごの慈悲を思えよ。なんと合点がいきましたが、皆の衆。
「覚悟引っかけ、俺を打ち詰めようとは、練馬大根太い印太いの値だ」

"Parents are like heaven and earth" (父母如天地)
"Teachers and lords are like the sun and moon" (師君如日月)

Those who give birth to me are my parents; those who nurture me are heaven and earth. Filial people are beloved by Heaven, while unfilial ones are despised.
The Oba bird returns emptily, remaining in mother's fist and buried in earth, borrowing from the mulberry leaves that vigorously tend, emerging from the earth. When King Shun was pressed by the sun, Heaven sent down rain; when a daughter-in-law reviles her mother-in-law, thunder strikes her. This is the difference between being beloved and being hated by Heaven.
The great debt to father and mother is higher than Mount Fuji and deeper than Lake Biwa. A lord's benevolence is equally warm like the sun's rays, allowing peaceful living. A teacher's kindness is like the moon, illuminating darkness and providing clear guidance.
Before teachers, fathers, and mothers, put your hands together respectfully when speaking. Do not forget the blessing of sun and moon, and do not be covered by clouds of delusion. Daily there is the filial piety of crows feeding their parents, and in the moon there are the great deeds of rabbits. When the mouse of time cries out as mediator, the turtle of ten thousand generations remains on high.
Better than a spoiled, snotty child is one who thinks of the compassion of dumplings. How well this makes sense, everyone!
