猶不忘農業（なをのうきやうをわすれす）
必無廃学問（かならずかくもんをはいすることなかれ）

現代語訳
なお農業を忘れず
必ず学問を廃することなかれ
木の丸殿のように、秋の田には御衣の袖に露を絞り、高き屋に登って見れば煙が立つ田の竈は賑わいに満ちている。これもまた有り難い御政治ではないか。君は苧環（おだまき）のように、麻の糸を思い思いに夜ばかりと向き合い、歌の哀れなるも気持ちや愛楽の籠もるべし。民の業の様々なる早乙女の笠に植えて見れば、及ばぬことを悟り、からしの実の着ては世に隠れ家の侘びたるに楽しみなる子の音に、おのれと騒ぐ村雀の歌を思う薄時に、杵に陰陽を備え、鋤と鍬に五行を交ぜ、釜に小人の草を泣き、君子の風になる子を引く。
五十年の汗道、細道を辿りゆく人々よ、誤って踏み迷うことなかれ。また、歳の暇には精進の道を弁えよ。
倪寛は耕作をしながら腰に書を離さず、■完は機を織りながら口に書を読む。
お飯ばかりたくさん食べて怠けているのは大きな誤りである。一粒の米にも先人万古の心が込められており、空しく食い潰すのは罪の甚だしきことである。宮仕えに育つ子供には、主に農業の苦しいことを知らせるべきである。この本の終わりに絵を描いて見せるものである。

Do not forget agriculture
Never abandon learning
Like Lord Kinomaru, in autumn fields one wrings dew from sleeves of robes, and climbing to high houses, one sees smoke rising from busy hearths in the rice fields. This too is the result of benevolent governance, is it not? You, like the spindle (odamaki), work with hemp threads thoughtfully through the nights, and in the pathos of songs, feelings and pleasures should be contained. Looking at the various labors of the people and the hats of rice-planting maidens, one realizes what cannot be achieved. When mustard seeds ripen, finding joy in the humble sounds of children in secluded dwellings of this world, and thinking of the songs of village sparrows that naturally make noise, at the time of rice pounding, imbuing mortars with yin-yang principles, mixing the five elements with plows and hoes, lamenting the grass of petty people in the pot, and raising children to become gentlemen of virtue.
People who follow the fifty-year path of sweat and narrow roads, do not err and lose your way. Also, in your leisure time, understand the way of diligent practice.

Eating only rice in abundance while being lazy is a great mistake. Even in a single grain of rice lies the heart of countless predecessors, and to consume it wastefully is an extremely grave sin. Children raised in palace service should be taught about the hardships of agriculture. At the end of this book, I have drawn pictures to illustrate this.
